RELANGHE
Alba is famous throughout the world for its precious truffles of the white variety.
It can also lay claim however to a product which is crafted from two other white
ingredients - sugar and vanilla - blended with honey and the P.G.I.
Piemonte variety of hazelnut in a crisp, crunchy nougat called “torrone”.
This part of the local gastronomical history has been reclaimed by the company
Relanghe, in a production which is approached like an ancient rite: from the
toasting of the rich, smooth, round fruit with its intense aroma and clean, delicate
flavor, and the cooking of the paste in steam cauldrons, right through to the
pouring of the mixture by hand into wooden molds.
Set up in 1994 with the purpose of perpetuating rural culinary traditions, Relanghe
follows the original recipe with true craftsmanship, selecting the ingredients
one by one, and keeping faith with the meticulous procedures of days gone by
in creating a product of true excellence.
